Overview

Duties include:

  • Act in an advisory capacity to City Councils in all matters pertaining to the animal shelter
  • Provide advisory support to staff through review of basic policies, procedures, and special problem areas as requested by staff
  • Make fee recommendations (amendments, additions, deletions, or establishment of fees)
  • Assist staff in determining proper recommendations to be made to the City Councils concerning capital improvements and maintenance requirements for facilities
  • Review record keeping and compliance with state laws
