Duncanville, TX – On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, a Duncanville gas station owner met with police officers concerning the theft of diesel fuel. Several thousand gallons of diesel fuel were reportedly stolen from the station’s pumps on several dates since early February. The February thefts seemed to have occurred when the station, located at 1411 North Duncanville Road, was closed. Since the Duncanville Police Department was made aware of these theft offenses, the gas station has not reported being further victimized by similar crimes.

Detectives are working with local and state officials to develop leads to these and similar thefts in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area.

Fuel may become a more attractive commodity due to recent cost increases. Citizens knowing of anyone selling any type of fuel from a place other than a state-regulated gas station should contact the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/fmq/fmqcomplaints.htm), the Texas Comptrollers Office (https://comptroller.texas.gov/), or their local police department immediately.
