Conducted by the Dallas County Elections Department. Three election day polling places were utilized: Byrd Middle School, Reed Middle School, and Fairmeadows Elementary School. Early voting was held at the Library/Community Center, 201 James Collins Blvd. – Barbara Lewis (Judge).

The 2019 City Election will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

PREPARATIONS BEGIN FOR 2019 CITY OFFICERS ELECTION

ELECTION DAY IS MAY 4, 2019

The 2019 City Officers election will be held Saturday, May 4th.  Duncanville voters will go to the polls to elect the Councilmember At Large, and Councilmembers to represent Districts 1, 3, and 5 for the upcoming two-year term.

The first official day to file an application for a place on the ballot is Wednesday, January 16th. The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15th.

City qualifications for candidacy include: qualified voter; resident of the State of Texas for one year; resident of the City and district for six months; and hold no other public office.

All registered voters in the City of Duncanville may vote for the Councilmember At Large. Residents of Districts 1, 3, and 5 may vote for their respective candidates. Anyone not currently registered to vote has until April 4, 2019 to register in order to cast a ballot in the May 4th election. Voter registration applications may be obtained at City Hall or the Duncanville Public Library.
