Identified as a maintenance concern in 2014 by TCEQ during their annual tank inspection, Summit Tank was scheduled for renovation to repair, clean deposits, and repaint the interior and exterior of the tank to minimize future maintenance and improve the quality of water within the water distribution system.  The Summit Tank is co-owned by the cities of Duncanville (5/8ths) and Cedar Hill (3/8ths).

This project was completed in 2017 by A&M Construction and Utilities, Inc., at a total cost of $989,425.00.  The City of Duncanville’s share of this cost was $618,390.62.
