Today, Duncanville ISD is investing more than $166 million
into its school system as a result of the community's support
for an October 2001 Bond Program to ensure students have
access to state of the art education and athletic programs.
The dollars will also be used to construct two new elementary
schools and upgrade classroom and athletic facilities throughout
the school district. Duncanville has eight Texas Education
Agency "Recognized" and two "Exemplary"
campuses and its extra-curricular programs are the envy
of cities throughout Texas. The high school marching band,
state champions in 2002, is one of the most honored in the
state and Duncanville ISD athletic programs have a long-standing
tradition of success, Duncanville High School athletic programs
have won more than 20 state championships since 1975.

This 95,000 square foot, double ice rink complex provides
residents with access to skating lessons, hockey lessons
and open ice skating year round. This facility will be the
official practice site of the 2003 State Farm U.S. Figure
Skating Championships.
