The Duncanville Fire Department is staffed by twenty-four
functional Paramedics with thirty-eight Paramedics total. The
rest of the firefighters are certified as Emergency Medical
Technicians (EMT's).
 All
emergency medical services personnel are trained by the
University of Texas Southwest Medical Center in Dallas.
They receive their emergency medical control from the BIOTEL
system which is linked with Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
BIOTEL gives the Paramedics direction in their emergency
medical services.
All ambulances are certified as Mobile Intensive Care Units
and carry the latest in MICU equipment. All this is done
in order to provide the most advanced life support services
to the citizens of Duncanville.
