The Duncanville Fire Department is a current recipient of the Life Safety Achievement Award from the Residential Fire Safety Institute. This institute is a public interest group whose mission is to reduce residential fire deaths and injuries. Change to read as follows: Duncanville qualified, along with many other cities, for this award by registering zero fire deaths in structures within the city of Duncanville. This organization advocates the use of residential fire sprinkler systems, smoke alarms and teach people fire-safe behavior.

The Duncanville Fire Department is made up of 48 dedicated firefighters/paramedics and provides emergency medical, fire and rescue services. We are also dedicated to fire prevention.
