The Finance Administration Activity is
responsible for the general supervision and management of
the Accounting/Tax, Municipal Court, Purchasing, and Utility
Accounting activities. Accounting operates a governmental
accounting and budgeting system that provides financial
information to both external users and internal management
and is responsible for functions such as accounts payable,
accounts receivable, capital budget reporting and financial
reporting which includes preparations of the CAFR (Comprehensive
Annual Financial Report).
Other direct responsibilities include investments
& cash management, debt issuance, financial policies
and long range planning, administration of the City's insurance
programs, budget development and coordination, annual audit
preparation, rate and user fee review, banking and other
special projects.
