This position oversees fleet operations, prepares division budget, develops specifications for vehicles and equipment, coordinates purchases, schedules routine maintenance, maintains parts and supply inven to ries, maintains the fueling station, coordinates inspections of vehicles, equipment and to wers, maintains vehicle and equipment records, oversees maintenance contracts and provides guidelines for equipment and vehicle disposal. Maintenance Worker – Water/Wastewater

Park Maintenance/Irrigation Technician

Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Texas Irrigator’s License with 2-3 years experience in a related field
- Computer Skills for maintaining Irrigation Monitoring Software
- Valid Class B CDL Texas driver’s license with a good driving record
This position is responsible for installing and maintaining new and existing irrigation systems. Will assist Irrigator in repairing and replacing irrigation parts and equipment, programming and managing water sprinkling and consumption, creating watering schedules, monitoring and responding to alarms. Must demonstrate the ability to use common hand tools and operate various types of equipment associated with parks maintenance. Will assist park staff with other parks maintenance duties as assigned. Meter Reader
$24,071/year to start
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record
Position collects water meter data on assigned routes by vehicle or on foot using a hand held computer. Position also replaces meters, meter boxes and repairs meter leaks as required. Must have ability to accurately input meter data into hand-held unit, walk long distances in all types of weather, bend, lift, and follow oral and written directions. Must have effective communication and public relations skills in dealing with citizens. Open until filled.

Mechanic
$32,748/year to start (additional consideration may be given for experience)
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Minimum 1 year experience as mechanic in a fleet or other
automotive environment
- Must have a good driving record
- Must obtain a Valid Texas Class B CDL within 90 days of hire
Position performs preventative maintenance and light repairs on City vehicles and equipment.
Duties would include items such as changing oil, inspecting & repairing brake systems, repair or changing tires, replacing windshield wipers, testing & replacing batteries, replacing belts, replacing starters & alternators, and replacing filters as necessary. Position serves as Duty mechanic as required on evenings and weekends. Position requires a working knowledge of computers and general office software. Must have the ability to operate necessary garage equipment and have the ability to lift 100 lbs. or more. Open until filled.
