Park Maintenance/Irrigation Technician

Meter Reader

Position collects water meter data on assigned routes by vehicle or on foot using a hand held computer. Position also replaces meters, meter boxes and repairs meter leaks as required. Must have ability to accurately input meter data into hand-held unit, walk long distances in all types of weather, bend, lift, and follow oral and written directions. Mechanic

• Minimum 1 year experience as mechanic in a fleet or other automotive environment

Position performs preventative maintenance and light repairs on City vehicles and equipment.

Duties would include items such as changing oil, inspecting & repairing brake systems, repair or changing tires, replacing windshield wipers, testing & replacing batteries, replacing belts, replacing starters & alternators, and replacing filters as necessary. Position serves as Duty mechanic as required on evenings and weekends. Position requires a working knowledge of computers and general office software.
