1. Act as an Advisory Board to the City Council in all matters pertaining to Parks and Recreation.
   
   
2. Provide advisory support to the Parks and Recreation staff through review of basic policies, planning, budgets, and special problem areas as requested by the Parks and Recreation staff or the Director of Community Services.
   
   
3. Interface with all citizens, organizations, and groups involving Parks and Recreation in Duncanville and to communicate any requests, needs or petitions to the Parks and Recreation staff and the City Council.
   
   
4. Recommend Fees for the use of Parks and Recreational facilities. Amendments, additions, deletions or establishment of fees and rates shall be recommended by the Advisory Board.
   
   
5. Assist the Director of Community Services in determining proper recommendations to be made to the City Council concerning capital improvements and maintenance requirements for Parks and Recreation facilities.
   
   
6. Members of the Advisory Board shall acquaint themselves with the Duncanville Parks and Recreation system and provide a continuous study and inspection of these facilities.
   
   
7. Assist in development of a Master Plan for Parks.
   
   
8. To review all matters from the public or from private or civic organizations involving Parks and Recreation and to appropriately communicate the general subject matter by minutes or recommendations to the City Council, Director of Community Services and the City Manager.
   
   
9. The Director of Community Services or his or her authorized representative shall act as ex-officio member of the Advisory Board and will be responsible for the recording of all minutes.
   
   
10. The Parks and Recreation Board elects a Chairman and Vice-Chairman.
    
    
11. Prompt attendance at all meetings is urged. If three (3) meetings are missed without a valid excuse, the member may be replaced.
