2019 Holiday Schedule for Trash, Recycling & City Facilities

​​Thanksgiving – Christmas – New Year’s 2020

Duncanville city facilities will be closed on:

  • Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday
  • Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday
  • Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in observance of the New Year’s holiday

Holiday hours (other closures and holiday hours):

  • Duncanville Public Library – Closed Saturday, November 30. Closes early at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 27 and Tuesday, December 31.
  • Duncanville Recreation & Senior Centers – Closes early at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 27, Monday, December 23 and Tuesday, December 31.

Trash, recycling and bulk collection service will not run on:

  • Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 28, 2019
  • Christmas Day – Wednesday, December 25, 2019
  • New Year’s Day – Wednesday, January 1, 2020

Refuse collection will resume on the following regularly scheduled pick up day.

Live Christmas Tree Recycling

The City of Duncanville provides Christmas tree recycling through January 10 at the Service Center located at 330 Shady Trail. Residents may drop off their trees in the grassy area by the existing mulch pile on Shady Trail near Main Street (there will be signage to direct you to the area). Christmas trees must be free of lights and decorations and cannot be in any type of wrap, especially plastic. The mulch is provided free to residents.
