City Hall Closed

City Hall will be closed on Friday, March 30, 2018, in observance of Good Friday. City Hall will resume normal business operations on Monday, April 2.

Recycling and trash services will still resume as normal.

Duncanville Fire Department Offering Civil Service Exam

The Duncanville Fire Department is offering a Civil Service exam on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Individuals interested in a rewarding opportunity protecting lives and property with pride and tradition are urged to fill out an interest card to be eligible for the civil service exam.

The Duncanville Fire Department has great opportunities within its divisions: fire administration; fire prevention; fire suppression; advanced life support; and emergency management.

For an opportunity to work with the department, submit an interest card by end of business on Monday, March 19, 2018, to be eligible for the exam on March 24.

PREPARATIONS CONTINUE FOR 2018 CITY OFFICERS ELECTION

The 2018 City Election will be held on Saturday, May 5th.

The slate of offices includes the Mayor and Councilmembers to represent Districts 2 and 4. All registered voters in the City of Duncanville will have the opportunity to vote for the Mayor position. Registered voters residing in Districts 2 and 4 will also have an opportunity to vote for their respective candidates.

Voter registration cards may be obtained at City Hall or the Duncanville Public Library. Early voting will be conducted Monday, April 23, 2018 through Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Duncanville Library Conference Rooms located at 201 James Collins Blvd. as follows:

Monday, April 23rd – Saturday, April 28th: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, April 29th: 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Monday, April 30th – Tuesday, May 1st: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
